The Scharffenberger Residence of Philo was constructed using old world materials and modern techniques known as PISÉ (Pneumatically Impacted Sand & Earth). All the walls are 2 feet thick, making them great natural insulators. We pre-cast all window and door openings of concrete, and fit them with European windows and site-built shutters.
